No restrictions on foreign players in playing XI makes T10 an exciting prospect: Andre Russell

For long it has been said in cricket a staff does half the job it needs to do to get a victory if it stacks up a big total batting. Nonetheless, in the second edition of this T10 league, the Northern Warriors are shifting that notion. They batted second in almost every game they played in the league stage. Just once did they bat first and they ended up beating 183 runs in that match. Andre Russell has been a driving force for them and if there is a player who’s tailor-made for this budding arrangement, it’s West Indian all-rounder.

“T10 Cricket format is similar to a 90-minute amusement thriller with huge mass appeal. I think the upcoming generation will be excited to come and observe and is a one for the future. There are approximately three matches daily and there are not any limitations on the number of international players in playing XI. Thus, players from around the globe can combine together and perform exciting cricket. It’s all about excitement and I hope our team will go from strength and into the finals.”

Northern Warriors is just one of the 3 new teams making their debut from the T10 Cricket League. Led by Russell and Nicholas Pooran that the Caribbean stars have displayed some unbelievable power hitting to record the highest ever total in T10 cricket in the eighth game of this year.

The group includes Wahab Riaz from Pakistan, Dwayne Smith from West Indies, Ravi Bopara from England, Chris Green from Australia, Lendl Simmons from West Indies, Imran Haider from UAE, Amitoze Singh from India among others.

T10 Cricket is emerging as a hugely adored global arrangement, and together with all the Northern champions being a team of sportsmen from all around the globe, this sponsorship perfectly complements our brand ZEE5 awarded its worldwide makeup.
